The QNMU considers that embracing diversity and opposing discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex (LGBTIQ+) persons are necessary and important steps towards achieving equality and health for all members of society. The QNMU continues to support the amendment of Australian legislation in 2017, that enabled people the right to marry, which is not dependent on sex or gender.
