If you are employed in the private sector, for example, in a private hospital, aged care facility, the not-for-profit sector, or a doctor’s surgery, your employment is governed by the Fair Work Act 2009 (the Act). If you have been unfairly dismissed, you may be entitled to take a case to the Fair Work Commission (the FWC or Commission).
